Finnair – corporate responsibility website

We created a customer-focused website showcasing Finnair’s corporate responsibility portfolio.

Miika Puputti, Designer Miika Puputti, Designer When it comes to corporate responsibility, Finnair leads the way. We created a new kind of a digital environment where the airline can communicate the important environmental work they are doing to their customers.

The brief

Corporate responsibility is at the core of Finnair’s strategy. The company strives to ensure that they are as environmentally friendly as possible, for example by constantly renewing their fleet. This renewal has resulted in Finnair having one of the most modern and fuel-efficient fleets in the world. Our job was to create a forum in which Finnair could communicate this significant aspect of its business to its most important stakeholders: their passengers.

What we delivered

Using a new, fresh style of drawing, we created a straight-forward site that is easy and enjoyable to use. The content is laid out in three clear steps: visitors can easily grasp the basics at a glance, while the infographics and clearly laid-out articles invite the reader to explore further. We also kept iPad users in mind when designing the site.

The results

The finished website is truly exceptional and it is set apart from the rest by its tightly focused target group: Finnair customers. We’ve been thrilled with the site’s reception, number of visitors and positive feedback. With 11 different language versions in place, the website is a truly international forum with visitors from all over the world.

Next steps

We created a space where Finnair can communicate its corporate responsibility strategy and goals to the customers. Since going live, the website has taken on a life of its own: it stays up to date with new articles, content updates and a constant stream of new blog posts.
